Set to tame some of the largest of pelagic species with ease, the Shimano Terez BW Uni-Butt Full Roller Rods utilize premium materials and state-of-the-art rod technology to dominate the water column. Shimano incorporated several key blank technologies with the creation of each rod blade, including Hi-Power X, Sprial X, and UD Glass construction, each working together to maintain the rods structural rigidity and strength under load. This allows anglers to efficiently transfer all their energy, ideal for long fights against powerful species such as Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, and more. Its UD Glass technology enhances overall rod strength, while retaining its ability to flex and keep fish pinned, mitigating tear outs. The full roller layout, rod powers, and actions seen on each rod blade adapts perfectly for trolling, chunking, and more, requiring less setups when needing to change tactics of the day.

Hi-Power X

Hi-Power X utilizes diagonally wrapped carbon tape that runs up and down the length of the blanks outermost layer to reinforce its twist resistance. This also allows Shimano to perfect precise actions for the blank, specifically tuned for big game and the trolling tactics that go with them.

Spiral X Construction

Spiral X Construction consists of multiple layers of carbon tape that tightly winds the blank diagonally in opposite directions, enhancing torsional and compression rigidity without adding extra weight. Aftco Curved Unibutt

Constructed of the finest marine grade alloy aluminum, the Aftco Curved Unibutt serves as the stable platform that both reel and rod blade easily secure to. Through Aftco’s unique “swaging” process, the aluminum butt is “unitized” to the reel seat, creating a connection which maximizes strength with minimum weight. The aligning pin-plug gimbal and fixed hook are locked in permanent alignment so that the gimbal, reel, and rod guides always align up exactly. The ferrules are precision-machined for complete interchangeability with rod tip sections, and an O-ring on the ferrule prevents corrosion between the ferrule and the reel seat. A Teflon ring inside the collet nut assures snug fit, prevents galling, and allows for easy removal of the nut. Available in several different styles and colors, the Aftco Unibutts are a simple, high-quality component, ready to complete your rod and give you seasons of use if not a lifetime to come.
