Shimano incorporated several key blank technologies with the creation of each rod blade, including Hi-Power X, Sprial X, and UD Glass construction, each working together to maintain the rods structural rigidity and strength under load. This allows anglers to efficiently transfer all their energy, ideal for long fights against powerful species such as Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, and more. Its UD Glass technology enhances overall rod strength, while retaining its ability to flex and keep fish pinned, mitigating tear outs. For mounting your favorite big game conventional reel, its reel seat with an adjustable machined hood and small/large mouths is built to accept reels in the 30 – 130 class. A Delrin collet nut always ensures tight fit to the hood, keeping you more tuned into the actual fight and not fighting your gear.
